My Personality
INTJ . To me smalltalk is a programming language from the
'80s.
I am quiet. I enter relationships slowly and oh so cautiously
I also drive slowly.
I probably come off a lot more cynical in the blog than in real life.
My Politics
I am big on decentralization and support for local economies. I
don't accept the corporation as an individual. I dispise ad creep.
I haven't given up voting yet. Not because I think I can actually
make a difference, but because it seems incrediably apathetic not to.
I think corporate pharmies are just as bad, if not worse than illegal street
drugs. Put down your copy of 1984, folks, pop your Soma, and dust off
that copy of Brave New World. Free software is better than open source
which is better than corporate sludge that passes for software. Strong
encryption is a right guarenteed by the 2nd ammendment. If Gary Gunfag
can keep his own private arsenal, I can encrypt my love letters so Ashcroft's
flunkies can't use them for whack-off material.
My Favorite Music
All things Kristen Hersh. Laurie Anderson, and Billy Bragg. Elvis
Costello gets better everytime I hear him. Most Golden Paliminoes, Jack Dangers,
Keith Jarret, and Dewey Redman. Most stuff on the 4AD label. I
discovered Superchunk during the past year, and they're just swell. Very
easy to write code to.
My Spirituality
Irrational mystical aethist: God exists in the minds of his believers,
of which I am not one, but this doesn't stop him from tormenting me.
If I'm alone in a forest, and I pray silently, nobody hears me, but that
doesn't always stop me from praying occasionally. Religion isn't the
opium of the masses. It's a weapons-grade designer drug addicts inject
directly into the optic nerve with crusty shared needles. But this
doesn't stop me from visiting the local Unitarian Universalist church every
now and then.
