The good folks at Citizens for Better Transportation, sent out a funny mailing recently.
It's got a guy sitting alone, in what I assume is an SUV. He's go the window down and he's sticking his head out, looking pretty exasperated. He's holding a paper cup which he looks like he's going to drop on the road at any minute, Seldom Seen Smith style. Apparently he stuck in a traffic jam. Below the picture is the text
Eh, well, not much money at all. Almost none in fact. Granted the engine is warm enough, and the heater's not on, the Insight's engine shuts off automatically when the car is idle. Don't all cars have that feature by now. No ? What a shame.
In the meantime, our poor commuter can get some slugs and travel in the HOV lane. Or better yet, he can find a job closer to home, and/or start taking public transportation.
Sorry but I saw two humvees over the weekend and they put me in a foul, foul mood. Too bad they weren't stealth-mode hybrid humvees.
