According to the Philosophical Health Test, I have a tension quotient of 7%.
I said the government shouldn't allow tested treatments, but there shouldn't be a problem with alternative medicines. I don't think this is really a tension, since I think the government should be testing out drugs being pushed by the phamie corps, while by alternative medicine I was thinking of treatment outside traditional drugs and operations. So really, I have 0% philosophical tension.
Gaze upon me with wonder.

Ever wonder why you should sponsor an educational program ?
Yes, students, are veal to advertisers.
Tasty, young, and forced to stay in one spot and suck down whatever's put in front of you.

There's an excellent Master and Margarita site at Middlebury College. Complete with maps and timelines.
And perhaps since "manuscripts don't burn", the book itself is also available online.

According to the local news, South Arundel's Citizens for Responsible Development's low power radio station, WRYR at 97.5 went live tonight. It should be available in the Anne Arundel area. Give it a listen if you're nearby. Apparently its one of the first legal low power radio stations. It's sweet its being run by an environmental group, though it is a little odd they have a radio station but no apparent web presence.
Update: The Post reports on this story.

The recent content here's been a little strange, but it's nothing compared to the GumPals aka 'tissues'.
The grateful gumpanion thanked the GumToons, as he was being wrapped for his trip to GumHeaven. GumHeaven is where all gumpanions go after they have been wrapped and disposed of properly. It's their reward for bringing enjoyment to the millions and millions of people who chew gum.

Instead of collecting money for Disney, local Arlington and Alexandria fire stations are providing safe havens for domestic violence victims. Sweet.

Yeech !! The Wasington Post uses "fundamentalist" to describe Americans who think Enron is business-as-usual:
Business lobbyists acknowledge that over the past two weeks public opinion seems to have swung toward the fundamentalists. A Gallup poll last week found that about 3 in 4 Americans believe that the type of business practices found at Enron could also be found at some or most other large corporations. Another survey found that public confidence in big corporations had fallen to the low levels long endured by Congress and health-maintenance organizations.
It's better to stay away from such marginalizing labels, and just call these people good, healthy American citizens.
The fundies in this case would be the people who think Enron is some sort of abomination the Invisible Hand would never allow.
(Hmm, why did I have to go to the UK to find an acceptable citizenship page ? And even that one is suspect. Note the last quote.
Screw the burning buildings - good citizens raise money for Disney)
