Frankenfish invades Maryland:

The FTC warns of new telemarketing scheme. I've been using the "one moment please" strategy for these calls lately. I've also been keeping the answering machine off and the phone ringer turned off when I'm out. If people need me, they have my cell number. The call-id info is enough for me to know if I need to call anyone back.

A couple times in the past couple days I've come across the idea of people having fractional races a couple times. The most tasteless being a joke calling for Governor's Island to become a homeland for half-Jews.
This concept has always bothered me, and I think I finally came up with a reason why. It's presented here as a Matt and Martha Mathica dialog.
