Sigh. Compare and contrast:
The Adrian Gollner poster Remember When
versus (ding, ding, ding)
The Rewards for Justice banner ad Before They Strike.
Alas, cheesy banner ads and a suitcase full of money are about as good as it gets for American anti-terrorism propaganda. What a shame.
The Metropolitan police of London seem to be on the ball though with their creepy "if you suspect it" series.
However, it does look like there are a lot of good peace posters in the wild though. Protestgraphics has lots of good stuff as well.

I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet, but somehow I've managed to pick up a couple CDs. Laurie Anderson's _Life on a String_ is amazing. I listened it to it 3 times in a row. Five years is too long.
I hope I never end up having coffee with Ms Anderson though. I'd expect her to talk like she sings, and I'm sure she doesn't, so I'd be disappointed I'm sure her dialog takes a lot of effort and practice, and the last thing she wants to do is sound like herself when she's relaxing.
I also got Tori Amos's latest and was really very disappointed. This album has no redeeming value whatsoever. The only song halfway listenable was the Joe Jackson cover. I had to pull out my Velvet Underground records to flush the bad sounds out of my ears.
Did I post this before ? I think I may have. I'm too lazy to look it up. It's been long stressful day. Lots of regression tests breaking and I'm caught in the middle. Ughh. But I'm looking forward to dinner with the "The Reader Who Shall Not Be Named" tonight.

That farm I was hoping to get the organic veggie subscription to next year may not be around much longer.
Apparently it's at the center of a land dispute with the Virginia Outdoors Foundation and the Curriers. (diabetics should avoid that last link - waaaaay too much sugar)
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

I wonder if J. Robert Brame is related in any way to that local whack job Taliban fighter ? It sure looks like they want to live in the same sort of society.

Go see Amelie, then go laugh at this review. The whole film was a huge hidden penny fest.
And I admit, Audrey Tautou just swept me away. Wowzers.

I've had a browser window open all day with Linus's comments on Linux software evolution, reading it in snippets as I'm waiting for builds to go through.
I'm scared of reloading the page for fear it's degenerated into a predicatable evolution vs creation science debate.
I saw the start of it near when someone started talking about shooting lego buildings.

Cisco had a blood drive today, so I gave the Red Cross some more product to burn.
I guess I was feeling guilty about not donating while I was stuck in California.

Bruce Sterling has a field day with one of the best Viridian notes ever, even if he does go a little wackadoodle near the end with his trust metric device idea.
I suspect something like this will probably evolve without governments getting involved, but I suspect it'll also be used to tell if the persons not a government agent as well as not being a terrorist.
