These guys should consider themselves lucky they didn't ask for the Eid stamp.
By the way, the stamp's designer, Mohamed Zakariya, lives in Arlington.
He makes his own tools, and even his own paper.

HP's Cool town sounds great.
Now, seeing I'm an unbrander, you might not think so, but consider it for a minute: Eventually this sort of electronic spam is going to be way cheaper than actually producing post-purchase advertising. All the products will go into Repo Man mode, with cheap embedded chips doing the advertising invisibly. Then with the proper filters, you to happy consumer, see and hear none of it unless you specifically ask for it. How sweet is that ! Of course, we'll need VR glasses for this to become really, really cool.
OK. Calm down. Caaaalm down. Deep breaths. Whoa. A liitle too much coffee this afternoon, I think.
But how lame is it that I can find no Cool Town info from the HP website...

Apparently the murder of a prominent scientist in the area has some cult overtures.
In case you miss the four or five references in the article, watch out for people wearing black, reading fantasy novels, and/or attending art classes.
You know, if your kids are running around carving people up with swords YOUR RELIGION IS NOT WORKING.
Teach your kids how to use logic and reason and they won't fall for occult nonsense in the first place.

My inner geek is keeping an eye on the NOVA Wireless site. I could probably pick up some of the Cisco hardware pretty cheap, employee discounts and all. I'm going to have to look into this.

The New Republic has an interesting article about various hate groups cozying up to each other. Unfortunately it assumes that globalization is the same thing as multiculturalism, which is just plain wrong.

"She is the Mary of the lower classes". Eh ? Then who's the Mary of the upper classes ?
In other religious stories, I'm hoping arrest of JDL members planning on blowing up a mosque turns out to be because of overactive policing. If not these folks are no better than the other hate groups that rail against. Sigh.

Do you part commidifying dissent by helping some long distance company convince the attoney general that the AOG is a terrorist organization.
I used to have a link to that training manual listed the link above comparing it with some anarachist process document I found, but the manual has some truely vile stuff in it, so I removed it. I suggest my off-kilter readers please go take your medication and perhaps a nap, instead of wasting time looking for that garbage.

"When", I hear the corporations amongst you may whining, "is International Corporate Rights Day, eh, eh, eh ?".
Well, you should know by now, EVERYDAY is Corporate Rights Day....

Looks like I'll be visiting Ground Zero area by the end of the month.
My brother has decided to take advantage of the relatively cheap rents in Manhattan by moving to 99 John Street. I'm going to go visit him over Christmas and no doubt get roped into helping him unpack. He's assuming the streets will be open by that time so the moving truck will be able to get to the building. Apparently the move is causing my mom to flip out. Should be a great holiday...

Mayor Carolyn Risher abuses her office and wastes taxpayer money abolishing Satan from her Florida town.
"You're either with God or against him," Risher, 61, and a lifelong resident, said from her office on Wednesday. "I'm with him."
...
"We've gone so far in the separation of church and state it's almost like Christians don't have rights anymore."
