My new favorite artist, Liliana Porter has a mural on at a NYC subway station !!
I also found this piece , and this short blurb. .
Here's another page about her with some more info.
Here's another photo - it's my favorite from what I found on-line.
And to think, a couple days ago I came up with nothing at all....

It's so sad the good people in Kansas have to publish 25 ways to support evolution education.
Let's help them out by getting one of their spiffy T-shirts !

Here's a nice java-based build utility from the folks at Apache.
Remember if you're using JDK 1.2 or higher to define ANT_HOME....

Debby wants to go to go see the tall ships at the Inner Habor this weekend, but I don't really feel like seeing a torture vessel.

Here's an interesting article outlining some similarities between whistleblowing and nonviolence.
An self-respecting leftist engineer should lap this right up.

There lot's of good techno-political news at politechbot.
Keeping with today's theme, there are even a handful of articles on Burma...

This is really old news, but I just heard about it today.
Leo Nicoles, an honorary consul from Norway, died in a Burmese prison in 1996 while being held for "using fax machines without permission from authorites".

The new Risks Digest has been out for a couple days now.
It's good to be reminded that bugs kill.
Plus sometimes the tales of loser software are good for a cheap laugh.

I have a new favorite artist. Her name is Liliana Porter, and amazingly in this day and age, she has no web presence.... The best I could do was this pointer to an exhibit at Baltimore's Contemporary Museum that is showing her work. Be sure to watch the video that the curator has to start for you.... That's where all the Good Stuff is...
