Well, on the 8th of this month, I put down an offer on a condo in my neighborhood, but alas, they came back with a counteroffer I couldn't match.
Lesson for the day, kiddies, is expect the counteroffer, so don't make your first offer use up all your available funds.
Seems obvious now, but the place really was so nice there was a mommentary lapse of reason in the ol' Nagurney noggin. Sigh.
Now that it's finally sunk in just how little money I'll have after putting down the down payment and having to deal with the higher housing costs, I'm content to stay in my nice apartment and save lots of money like I've been doing for a while now.

Hurray. It looks like my tax dollars won't be going to pay off some christian wackos from Texas.

Jumping-jesus-on-a-pogostick! Scott McCloud is publishing new episodes of Zot! online.
Zot! #33 is my all-time favorite comic. It's the comic I give to people who think comic books are just for kids.
The first week of the new comic is really good. I love the way the story unwinds as you scroll down the page.
Thank you Scott !

Now, doesn't a book critical of explotation of Jewish sufering itself exploit Jewish suffering ?

I'll be wearing my raincoat and hiding all my fans when this book comes out, because the sh*t will be flying then...

If you're near my hometown of Easton, Pennsylvania area today, don't forget to check out Heritage Day.

The festival celebrates the reading of the Declaration of Independence in Easton on July 8th, 1776.
The declaration was also read at Philapelphia and Trenton that day.
It wasn't read in New York until the next day.

In other Easton news, HBO is currently running an ad for their Ellen DeGeneres special that shows some scenes of the State Theater and the surrounding area..
