What better use for robotics is there than having cute robots handing out subversive literature ?
Perhaps miniture robotic helecopters equiped with speakers and sound chips spewing out anti-violence slogans over the heads of riot cops? Add some chemical sesnors and you could get a robot that would start reciting the first ammendment really loudly whenever it was hit with pepper spray.
I think this technology has a lot of potential. Hurray for the Institute for Applied Autonomy !

The Greens are able to run their Mastercard parody add - their $15 million dollar case was thrown out yesterday. Hurray Judge George B. Daniels !

I just received an e-mail saying the Greens will be on the Virginia ballot come November. Hurray !
Apparently this hasn't reached any of the news outlets yet.
I'll update this entry with a link once I can find one !

I went to Longwood Gardens yesterday. I wasn't expecting much. The most I was hoping for was to not drag my feet too much as Debby wondered all over the place, but it turned out to be pretty nice.

The atmosphere was like an amusement part without any rides, and some of the flowers were pretty neat, especially in the conservatory.

The fountains, which they seem to market a lot were also pretty neat, but struck me as an immense waste of water and power. It was fun to watch some mom/baby pair dancing in one of the fountains, clearly against regulations, mind you.
