I saw the best minds of my generation

...starting off songs with stolen quotations.
...running on empty, Superglued to the T.V.
...corrupted by the false safety created by suburbia
...destroyed by stress frazzled overtired burnt-out
...destroyed by theory
...destroyed by tenure.
...sedated by complacency
...destroyed by half-baked Satanism and addictive rifts
...in thrall to their Palm Pilots
...destroyed by Sparc 20s.
...starved by neo-conservatism
...contemplating Nirvana in Palo Alto, CA.
...destroyed by The Grimace.

And last and least:

"I saw the best minds of my generation corrupted by a vision of endlessly profitable commerce in a world of market entropy."

(I should also point out that today's my dad's birthday also well as my brother's, lest they think I prefer Mr Ginsberg over them. And tomorrow's the birthday of the family librarian: Aunt Tarantula T-Spider. The "T" stands for "Tarantula T-Spider".)
