The pwan's weblog without a name

I'm hurting for a decent byline here, as you can tell.

The Maryland governor allows millions of pounds of chicken shit to flow into the Chesapeake Bay for a measly $4,400:

If the state could say to the chicken companies, 'Your environmental permits are tied to the practices of businesses that supply you,' what would be next?" said William Satterfield, executive director of Delmarva Poultry Industry Inc., an industry group. "Service stations responsible for what oil companies do at their refineries? Newspapers being responsible for how ink manufacturers handle their waste products?

Hey, sounds great to me. Better yet if poultry companies signed the Delmarva Poultry Justice Alliance's Code of Ethics

I got a real alert message from the county. It was an alert about heavy thunderstorms last night from 8:30 to 9:30 last night. Unfortunately I didn't turn on the phone until around 9:00 this morning, so it was pretty old news by then. Guess I should leave my phone on if I want timely terror tips.

Oh dear. There may be some visitors dropping by who are more interested in Unbrand America than the daily tank of SUV vitriol.

Another parent has run over his child with the family SUV. I wonder if he ran over the neighbor's kid would there still have been no charges files ? I think not. So why the 'get out of jail free' card for pancaking your own progeny ? For all the driver knows, he may have run over other parents' poorly monitored tots in the past, and written them off as speedbumps. I say "Bookem, Danno".

(Oops, it happened again in Ashland yesterday.)
(and again in Framingham on 6/18)
(and again in Shamokin PA on 6/18)
( and again in Canada for a change on 6/25.)

I meant to mention that I received four test "terror alert" messages from the county last week. Two in English, two in Spanish. It's probably just me, but I'd like to see my apocalyptic tips-o-terror sent in Latin and Ancient Greek as well.

Some other poor soul has had a branding meltdown. I sent them a note about the new wikitized Personal Unbranding Resources. It's not all been ported over to the wiki yet, but it's coming along. It's much, much easier to maintain through a wiki.

P.S.: There's an election tomorrow fellow Arlingtonians.
