This same company also sells a teapot pinata that asks if you're a princess and tells you it loves you when you hit it. Holy crap. Maybe instead of candy this thing should be filled with child psychology session vouchers.

Someone's been having fun with the Arlington County public notice template.
Click on the picture for a 475K closeup of the notice. It may take a few seconds to download, but the notice text is worth it. For folks outside the Ballston area, that waffle-like building in the background houses CACI headquarters.
The notice has been posted since at least Sunday when I photographed it to last night when I last walked by it again. I doubt it's been up since April, since I walk down the street a lot and would have noticed it before now. Worst case, it went up sometime during my vacation. I haven't seen any other notices like it in the neighborhood.

It's the 19th, which is a prime number, so that means I toggle my "Stay In Arlington And Buy A House" versus "Find The Anti-Virginia and Move There" decision. It's back to "Stay In Arlington".
I'm meeting with a Realtor tonight. My justification this time is that at least when I finally find an Anti-Virginia with some tech jobs, I'll have some almighty equity built up.

At long last - some vacation pictures, from both this year and last year's vacation.
Sorry no fancy pants slideshow pages, just a few links off the pictures posted here, so you'll have to give your back button a workout to see them all.
West Odd:
Hiking:
- Megablazed trail: A trail I was on was rerouted due to logging in the area, so sudden there was no trail to speak of, but blazes on every three trees or so. It really forced me to slow down and pay attention to where I was going.
- Monument Hill: I visited the Hubbardton Battlefield (only Revolutionary War battle in Vermont) on the anniversary of the battle, quite by accident. The guy who worked the little musuem dress in Revolutionary garb for the occasion and was very very excited. Unfortunately I got no good pictures of him, so you'll have to make due with the historical marker.
- Monument Hill Again, this time from the rock outcrop seen in the previous picture.
Misc:
- Montpelier Library Sculpture
- Sculpture Closeup
- Ben and Jerry's Flavor Graveyard. The tour isn't worth it. They should be paying you two bucks to watch their PR film. Fortunately, paying your respects at the flavor graveyard is free of charge.
