I'm hurting for a decent byline here, as you can tell.

Recently there was a funeral for the EV1.
Maybe it's just me, but Segways don't work in funeral processions.

As someone who doesn't have cable TV, it seems like the Democratic convention got a lot more coverage than the Republicans are getting from the networks. I tried to tune in to it last night, just to give some equal time to Republicans, since I had watched some of the Democratic speeches.

So I watched some musical act for about five minutes before I was watching some sort of Latin award show. In retrospect I should have known there wouldn't be anyone rapping in Spanish or for that matter anyone quite so scantily dressed on the convention floor, but what do I know. I'm not a Republican. I don't know how they think. At the time I thought it was some sort of youth outreach effort between speeches.

Oh well, I tried.

God is not a Republican

We believe that human rights - respecting the image of God in every person - is a religious issue. How do the candidates propose to change the attitudes and policies that led to the abuse and torture of Iraqi prisoners?

Meanwhile, the number of torturing CACI contractors has jumped from one to at least three. That last paragraph is a doozy. Aren't the important points in a story supposed to be in the first few paragraphs ?

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Blogging time has been converted to house hunting time, pretty much. It is frustrating. There is not much worth seeing in my price range.

I've given up on Arlington, and moved to search to Reston, where I can afford something about three times the size with more greenspace. I'm focusing in on the area around Forest Edge Elementary School. There's a nice interactive Reston map available.

I've also been playing around with Blosxom some. I'm setting up another doomed-to-fail project covering my daily Haskell play date.
