The move is pretty much finished now. All that's left is to throw out the moving boxes and a bunch of garbage come trash day this Thursday, then I'm offically settled in Reston.
My parent's came down from Easton this weekend and helped me get unpacked and generally get the place cleaned up. I had to go home for a few hours in the middle of the day to wait for the cable guy and an exterminator, and damn if the place didn't feel homey when I stepped in. None of the overwhelming sense that I would never get things sorted out again. (Regarding the exterminator, I'm continuing the old owner's regularly scheduled bug sprays, not that I've noticed anything outside that first cricket.)
The next door neighbor's music continues to be a problem. I've complained a few times without any noticable changes. I'm afraid I'm going to have to make more of a pest of myself by bugging the cluster's home owner's board. If that problem went away, I think everything else would fall into place.
Other projects are on the order of tub grouting, and replacing window blinds. Nothing horribly complicated yet, I type with fingers crossed, which, it turns out is not very difficult, for a hunt and pecj typist such as myself !
