Only a few more hours until the Laurie Anderson concert at Lisner. This will be the first trip into the city from the new house. It'll be interesting to see how painful the trip is. I'm giving myself almost an hour buffer to get there on time, just in case.//

Hurray, at long last Rudy Rucker has a blog.

(In house news, I managed to do my first potentially fatal home improvement without getting killed. It involved swapping my original porch light for one with a motion detector so it'll turn on when I walk down the front steps, so I don't have to fumble with my keys in the dark as much. Besides that, things are pretty much settling down a bit.

I may be getting involved in Herndon High School's robotics team as a volunteer engineering mentor, but it may require too much of a time commitment (not that I actually do much of anything else most nights...) There's a five hour minibot building session this Saturday I'm going to miss because I'm going up to Pennsylvania this weekend. On the other hand, the control software stuff I'd be involved with doesn't start for a few weeks yet, so the jury's still out. )
